Frequently Asked Questions

What types of photography do you specialize in?

I specialize in a few different types of photography. My main focus is on wedding and portrait photography, as I enjoy capturing the love and unique personalities of my clients through candid and posed shots. I also have experience with event photography, where I capture the excitement and energy of corporate events, parties, and other special occasions. In addition, I enjoy landscape photography and capturing the beauty of nature and the world around us. Finally, I have experience with commercial work, where I take photos for businesses to use in their marketing materials, such as product shots or headshots of employees. Whatever your photography needs may be, I am confident that I can provide you with high-quality and creative images that you will treasure for years to come.

What is your process for booking a photography session?

To book a photography session, simply fill out the contact form on my website or send me an email with your inquiry. Once we’ve discussed your photography needs and agreed on a date and time for the shoot, I will send you a contract to review and sign. A deposit will also be required to secure your booking. I will work closely with you to ensure that you have all the information you need and that your photography session goes smoothly from start to finish.

How can I choose from the raw photos?

After the session, I will upload all the raw photos to an online gallery where you can choose from. A little tutorial will be included on how you can make your selection.

Can we have all the raw photos?

No. While I understand that some clients may prefer to receive unedited photos, I must respectfully decline this request. Providing unedited photos goes against my standard policies and best practices as a professional photographer. It is the same reason why the chefs don’t give you uncooked food.

Is there a deposit fee to book?

At the time of booking, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date and time. Your session fee deposit can be made in the form of cash or debit/credit card.

Are you insured?

I’m fully insured through PolicyBee.

What should I wear for a portrait session?

The clothing you choose to wear for your portrait session can have a big impact on the final result of your photos. I recommend choosing clothing that is comfortable and reflects your personal style. Solid colors or simple patterns tend to photograph well, while bold patterns and logos can be distracting. It’s also a good idea to avoid wearing clothing with large, prominent logos or graphics. I’m happy to provide more detailed advice on clothing choices for your portrait session based on the specific style and setting you have in mind.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my photography session?

I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and I am happy to work with you to reschedule or cancel your photography session if necessary. Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your booking, and we will work together to find a new date and time that works for everyone. Please note that deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled session within a certain timeframe. I will provide you with all the details on my cancellation and rescheduling policies when we book your session.

How long does it take to receive my photos after the shoot?

The turnaround time for receiving your photos can vary depending on the type of photography session and the amount of editing required. For portrait sessions and wedding photography, you can typically expect to receive your photos within two to three weeks of the shoot date. For commercial photography and product shoots, the turnaround time may be longer depending on the scope of the project. I will provide you with an estimated timeline for receiving your photos when we discuss your photography needs and book your session.
